Depression: Studies have found an association between marijuana use and an increased risk of depression. Schizophrenia: Many scientific studies have found a link between marijuana use and the onset of schizophrenia. Psychosis: For teens who have a genetic predisposition towards psychotic disorders, marijuana is believed to trigger symptoms.
