Drug Facts Chat Day
One of the most reliable ways to get the facts about drugs is going straight to the source. When you have questions about drug use and abuse, the nation’s top scientists in the field of drug abuse and addiction have the information you need to make the right decisions about drug use.
What is Drug Facts Chat Day?
Drug Facts Chat Day is an annual event sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). NIDA is part of the National Institutes of Health, a component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Their mission is to lead the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction.
Each year, NIDA’s scientists go online to answer your questions about drugs and their impact on the teen brain and body. During Drug Facts Chat Day, students from across the United States ask some of our nation's drug abuse and addiction experts about illicit drug use as well as abuse of prescription drugs—a growing problem among our nation's teens.
